The Atlas is a well built machine. Marcato have been making pasta machines since 1930 and I fully expect that the the one I bought will last for at least a hundred years.
It comes with several cutters which can be used to cut various different types of pasta, from the very fine Vermicelli to more course pasta types like Tagliatelle.
Making pasta sheets is very easy and there are 10 settings for thickness, so when cutting the very fine pasta you can go very thin to make the cut smoother. Making sheets for lasagna give a new depth of flavour over the dried sheets that are usually used.
Cleaning is very easy, and with so many different cutters there is something for everyone in this little wonder gadget.
